Inside Job

Image
Inside Job is an interesting "reverse tower defense" game. This game is more of a "tower offense" game than a tower defense game. The concept is executed well and there is even a story to accompany gameplay! Give it a try and you are bound to enjoy it!  Inside Job by FeatureKreep

Blue Maxine

This may look like a fairly simple game and it is to a degree. The core gameplay is indeed simple although in order to attain the main objective the player has various obstacles. The main challenge for me was dodging all the projectiles the enemy fires and there are many. You will have to play this prototype for yourself to find out, enjoy!  Blue Maxine by Jesse Hamm

HUNTERS is a game about leading a ragtag group of salvagers through a cargo ship infested with enemies. There is also a puzzle element to the game. This game has many secrets, so don't expect me to give away any! Enjoy the game for yourself and find all those secrets on your own. 😛😛 HUNTERS by hwilson

Holeworm

Holeworm is an entertaining game where you take control of Hobart the holeworm and keep his stomach well stocked with his favorite food: Temporal paradoxes! This game has a simplistic control scheme so you won't get too frustrated. There of course are obstacles but you'll just have to play the game to find out. Holeworm by crass_sandwich

Magnet Madness!

This game may seem fairly simple to start but this game becomes more challenging the more success you have. I love this game, I absolutely treasure the concept of fighting a magnetic field that you have the ability to control.  Magnet Madness! by XRNZ

New Game Jam!

I started a new game jam guys, I am bringing back a classic game jam I did way back when. I did also want to point out the uptick in ads from me. The cost of everything is raising faster and faster and I need to do something. I always tried to stray away from flooding you guys with ads and I still try. The thing is that I am hunting for a job at the moment so you will likely notice an increase of ads until I get one. As soon as my work situation is under control I plan to remove even more ads than before. Anyway, here is my new game jam! itch.io/jam/gee

Gayyde: An Interview with the Developers.

Image
Indie Game Utopia is a gaming community I am very fond of. IGU just wrapped up their summer game jam and the winner is Ema la Yon with the entry of Gayyde! I had the enjoyable opportunity of interviewing the team. Gayyde by Ema la Yon The team of AUREXLEMANDARIN and Ema la Yon both made this game, described as a colorful platformer that uses gravity as the main mechanic. Since developers were only allowed to use a pallete consisting of colors from a pride flag, this game features a palette from lesbian pride. When asked if the game was pride based, this was Ema la Yon's answer: "I wouldn't really call it 'pride based' per say.  Although it features the lesbian pride flag as the palette, which is one of my flags and one of my prides, the game hasn't got an actual lesbian story/subtext. I would have liked to but I didn't have time to conceptualize it, especially since I lack the experience." Or simply... "hitting boxes and playing around with gra
